Community Interpreting Level 3

What does this qualification cover?

This qualification equips learners, with high levels of language skills in both their first language and English, to undertake interpreting work at a basic level of two-way communication. It has units covering the main areas which learners will need to be familiar with: selecting and preparing for assignments, understanding the sectors within which they may work and ensuring that they improve and develop their own performance.

Who is it suitable for?

Those who have an interest in and awareness of the role of an interpreter, and can demonstrate higher level language skills in their first language and English.

How is it assessed?

This qualification is a combination of a completed portfolio, and final assessment of two way corm,unication s’k.ills

How long will it take to complete this qualification?

The Certificate can usually be completed in 10-12 weeks.

Do you need to be working to take this qualification?

Learners should be either working or looking to undertake interpreting work.
