Welcome back to learning after the Christmas and New Year break and best wishes for the coming year.

By now you will be aware that all face to face classes are being moved on-line from Monday 11th January. Whilst this is disappointing news it is to make sure all learners and staff remain safe during the current concerns about rising infection rates.

Your tutor will be in touch with you shortly to arrange your on-line classes. Please note your classes will be on the same days and times. It’s important that you continue to attend your classes and work towards your qualifications. If you are unable to attend any of your classes you must notify the Services Admin team ASAP at AdminSOLC@stockport.gov.uk

If you do not have access to a computer you can apply to loan one here – Loan Application

The number of computers available is limited and will be provided on a first come basis for eligible learners. Please note there will only be one device provided per household and you must already have access to the internet; if you don’t please indicate this on the form.

If you are experiencing any issues with your health or wellbeing you can find information here – Health and Wellbeing advice and information

If you also need the information about COVID in other languages and how to stay safe please follow this link –  Covid advice in different languages

If you have any other concerns you can also contact the Services Safeguarding officers on 07891 949 014/07800 617 949.

It’s important that you remain safe and take care not put yourself or others at risk. Hopefully we will be able to return to in-class learning soon.

Kind regards,

Sean Burke
